Rael has 3 hits, Leads Matadors to Win
The home team gave the crowd at Matadors Stadium something to cheer about.

A 5-RBI performance from the 27-year old right fielder Manny Rael helped the Madrid Matadors beat the Bern Helvetics, 8-3. Madrid pitcher Tolenka Kachin earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Rhys Cotterill suffered the loss.

Rael had a key at-bat for Madrid in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Madrid an early 4-0 lead.

Rael attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."

The Matadors, now 6-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
