The Celtic Curse beat the Holland Halberdiers, 7-4, at Croke Park Diamond. The Curse got a fine performance from left fielder Jose Rodriguez, who was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Archie Floyd, who is rated as the 62nd best prospect by BNN, earned the save for Celtic. The win leaves Celtic with a record of 2-3.

Celtic took a 7-3 lead on Rodriguez's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Pawel Malczak in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Celtic to the win.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Rodriguez told the Celtic Daily News.
