Paris Placeholders starter Battista Sabre pitched a strong game against the Bern Helvetics at Placeholders Field, leading the Placeholders to victory, 10-1. The loss makes Bern 59-65.

Paris catcher Egbert Rosenberg contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Placeholders ahead, 3-0.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Rosenberg. "You've got to get results."
