The home crowd had a good time watching the Bern Helvetics and Venetian Venators get after it.

Venetian turned a good effort from starter Yegor Gonchar into a win over the Bern Helvetics at Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium. The Venators won the game, 6-2. The victory gives Venetian a record of 69-58.

Dominique Lemoine, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1925 draft, contributed to the Venetian win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Gonchar.
