The home crowd had a good time watching the Milan Insubres and Bern Helvetics get after it.

Bern pitcher Ricky Vives had a large part in his team beating the Milan Insubres, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Bern is now 65-69, while Milan is 76-55.

Bern took a 5-3 lead on Olivier Millot's 23rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Millot hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Milan pitcher Corrado Feroci visibly frustrated.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Millot said.
