Starting pitcher Corrado Feroci pitched well enough to help the Milan Insubres beat the Celtic Curse, 5-3. The win gives Milan a season record of 79-57.

It could have been a different outcome for Milan, had it not been for Daniel Stirling, the 23-year old catcher . Stirling contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Milan up, 4-3.

"Corrado throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Milan manager Lookia Wookia.
