Celtic got a decent performance from pitcher Juan Guzman, but it wasn't enough to beat the Milan Insubres. Milan won the Croke Park Diamond contest, 5-4. Guzman threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. Vitaliano Buon notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 5-4. The Insubres bumped their record to 80-58 with this latest triumph.

Milan used the timely hitting of Radu Goian to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Insubres on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Milan manager Lookia Wookia called it "a good, solid win."
