The Stockholm Vikings defeated the Istanbul Trojans, 3-2, in Eastern League action at Hippodrome. Stockholm pitcher Quentin Brink had a standout performance. Istanbul drops to 0-2.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rafal Bednarek? The Stockholm second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Vikings on top, 3-1. For the game, Bednarek had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Istanbul manager Lookia Wookia said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
