The Moscow Reds launched their 1926 campaign with a victory over the Munich Feldherren at Proletariat Park. Moscow left fielder Leonidas Strapoudopolos was instrumental in the 12-2 win. He was 4 for 4 with 2 home runs, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4.

With Moscow leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Strapoudopolos hit a cutter from Karol Pyrz for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Reds ahead, 5-1.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Strapoudopolos said.
