|
Stockholm pitcher Emanuel Zemanek had a large part in his team subduing the Vienna Volkshelden, 3-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Mitchell de Regt was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 13 save opportunities. By defeating Vienna, the 7th-place Vikings improved to 62-69.
Reinhold Auer hit a 2-run double off Anders Kolb in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Vikings in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Auer had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Zemanek said.
