The Istanbul Trojans downed the St. Petersburg, 3-1, at Hippodrome. Stellar pitching by Jose Casiano had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is rated as the 82nd best prospect by BNN, handcuffed his opponent all game. Casiano got the win, improving to 15-21. He gave up 9 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. He allowed 1 run. Istanbul is now 66-65, St. Petersburg 74-60.

Muhamed Pojani went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI for Istanbul. The top prospect had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Nikolle Bushati. It was his 85th RBI of the season.
