Hoover Leads Trojans to Win
The Istanbul Trojans beat the St. Petersburg, 10-7, at Hippodrome. Klaus Hoover starred for Istanbul. He was 4-4 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. With the win, Istanbul pushed its record to 67-65.

In the bottom of the sixth, Istanbul center fielder Muhamed Pojani gave his team the lead. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, The Iron Horse hit his 15th triple of the year. St. Petersburg pitcher Wilbart Miller surrendered it. With that, the Trojans jumped in front, 7-6.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Pojani said.
