St. Petersburg turned a good effort from starting pitcher Olivier Michel into a win over the Thessaloniki Companions at Alexander Nevsky Memorial Park. The final score was 3-2 in 10 innings. The St. Petersburg lead the Division by 3 games.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 24-year old center fielder Dieter Saglam had a chance to be the hero. Thessaloniki pitcher Zhenechka Aldarov wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Saglam hit a sacrifice fly. The St. Petersburg had themselves a thrilling win.

"We put together a nice win," Saglam said.
