Milan Helpless Against Sammer, Lose 13-0
Tuesday, April 6th , 1926
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Milan Insubres as starter Hoffman Sammer shut them out, 13-0, at Belisama Grounds. The Madrid pitcher struck out 4 and walked 2 while allowing 7 hits.
"Sammer was good but he wasn't flawless," Milan manager Lookia Wookia said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Madrid, but this is on us."
