Manaj Too Tough, Blanks Munich Saturday, September 4th , 1926 The Munich Feldherren were almost helpless in their 7-0 loss to the St. Petersburg and hurler Marcinek Manaj. Manaj kept the Feldherren confused all game, spinning a 5-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Manaj," Munich manager Lookia Wookia said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 26-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 2 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Manaj said.
