Big Bat Pays Off, Quevedo Player of the Week
Monday, September 13th , 1926
27-year-old Carlos Quevedo sent shock waves through European Baseball Commission last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Eastern League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Quevedo made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .667 average, 10 hits in 15 at-bats, 1 home run and 3 RBI.
Where the Oslo Valkyries right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Quevedo certainly made his mark last week.
For the season, Quevedo is hitting .339, batted in 70 runs with 10 home runs and 70 runs scored.
