Pininferino Shuts Out Paris, 3-0 Tuesday, September 14th , 1926 Orlando Pininferino kept the Paris Placeholders hitters from doing much damage at Heemstra Paleis. Paris could only muster 2 hits and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Pininferino, who controlled them throughout the game. Holland won the contest, 3-0. Pininferino added 2 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Pininferino told reporters after the shutout win.
