Moscow Comes up Empty Against Pecci
Thursday, September 16th , 1926
Vienna Volkshelden starter Alessio Pecci really did a number on the Moscow Reds, shutting them out, 6-0, on 6 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 3 walks and had 2 strikeouts.
"We didn't have good at-bats," said Moscow manager Lookia Wookia. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Pecci."
So far this year, Pecci has compiled a 9-10 record with a 4.00 ERA.
