Iron Benders Squelch Mystique Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Pacific City Iron Benders got a magnificent performance from pitcher Ben Sharp, who stifled the Music City offense en route to a 3-0 Iron Benders win at Tillamook Country Grounds. Sharp picked up the win for Pacific City, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. The first-place Iron Benders have a one-game lead in their division.
With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Dan Fedorka had a game-changing hit. The Iron Benders catcher slammed a 2-run single off Jose Guzman, making the score 3-0, Pacific City.
"Winning is contagious," said Fedorka. "We're looking forward to the next game."
