Pitcher Ottheinrich Lindner was rock solid in helping the Pittsburgh Monongahelas beat the Pacific City Iron Benders, 3-0. Lindner, the winner, moves to 4-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. Pittsburgh leads the Frontier League Heartland by 5 games.

The Monongahelas got a big hit from left fielder Matthew Carroll. In the bottom of the sixth, Carroll pounded a run-scoring double to right. His 5th double of the season put the Monongahelas ahead, 1-0.
