Iron Benders Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Pacific City Iron Benders starter Wayne Seely was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Salt Lake City Missionaries, 6-3. The Missionaries, now 8-22, have lost 4 straight.
The Iron Benders got an important contribution from first baseman Mike Frazer, who in the bottom of the second knocked a first pitch fastball into center for a 2-run triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Iron Benders ahead, 5-1.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Seely.
