Monongahelas Lose to Cavaliers in Walk Off
The Columbus Cavaliers withstood an impressive performance by Pittsburgh left fielder Matthew Carroll to defeat the Monongahelas, 5-4, at Huntington Park. Carroll was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Columbus has a record of 16-17, placing them third in the Frontier League Heartland.

The Cavaliers relied on center fielder Jesus Valadez for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 12th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Valadez. "And not try to do too much."
