Raiders Lose Late, 7-4
The Tuscon Raiders got a superb performance from pitcher Jose Valencia. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Kansas City. The Keys won the game, 7-4. Valencia threw 6.2 innings allowing 4 runs. Kansas City reliever Craig Phelps picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Enrique Parrales took the loss. The last-place Keys are now 14-19, the Raiders 19-14.

Eduardo Mota hit a run-scoring double off Enrique Parrales in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Keys in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Mota had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"Good team win," Mota said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
