Dallas Defeats Columbia, 8-7
|
The Dallas Bulldogs topped the Columbia Crusaders, 8-7, in Continental League action at Segra Park. The standout performance belonged to Dallas pitcher and Woodburn, Oregon, native Brian Manos. Manos went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 3-0. Dallas now has a 3-game win streak.
The result might have been different for Dallas, had it not been for Raul Urias. The designated hitter produced a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bulldogs ahead, 8-5. For the game, Urias had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Manos told the Dallas Bulletin.
