The San Diego Seawolves got a strong performance from pitcher Edwin Gonzalez, who stymied the Norfolk offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Balboa Field. San Diego has a 3-game win streak, while Norfolk has lost 3 in a row.

The Vikings had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Seawolves going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old shortstop Mark Perry came to the plate. Perry hit a run-scoring triple on a 0-1 sinker from Norfolk hurler Rogelio Ramos. It was Perry's 2nd triple of the year.
