Blazers Topple Crusaders, 4-3, as Blow Shines

In a close game at Segra Park, the Mexico City Blazers edged the Columbia Crusaders, 4-3. Mexico City center fielder Jimmy Blow stood apart with his performance. He was 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Lowell Cole came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The Blazers now have a mark of 12-16.
Blow had a timely hit for Mexico City in the top of the ninth. With Columbia trailing 3-2, he turned a 0-2 fastball into a 2-run triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season, making it 4-3, Mexico City.
"We played hard and won," said Blow. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
