Carrasco Leads Whalers to Win
Getting offensive support from Jesus Carrasco, the Anchorage Whalers topped the Pacific City Iron Benders, 7-4. Carrasco was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Whalers. The winning pitcher was Neil Butler. He tossed 85 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. Anchorage is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 15 games.

With Anchorage leading 4-1 in the top of the eighth, Carrasco hit a fastball from Brian Stewart for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Whalers ahead, 7-1.
