Lightning Improve to 8-7 with 5-4 Win
The Louisville Lightning did just enough to secure a victory over the Sacramento Sluggers, 5-4, at Cyberdyne Systems Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Emilio Esquibel. Howard Misner earned the save for Louisville, his 4th of the year. The win gives Louisville a record of 8-7.

Jim Hoover hit a 2-run triple off Aaron Trevizo in the top of the fifth, which put the Lightning in front, 2-0. In addition to the triple, Hoover had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Sacramento manager Lookie Wookie. "But we decided not to take it."
