Keys Bridle Monongahelas, 4-2
|
Starting pitcher Kyle Galinis was a major factor in the 4-2 Kansas City Keys triumph over the Pittsburgh Monongahelas. Losses have been rare for the Monongahelas, who are now 11-4.
Steve Manning went 1-1 with a walk and was hit by a pitch for Kansas City. The 11-year veteran had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pat Keys. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Manning told a Kansas City Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
