Potamianos Crafts 3-0 Shutout Versus Zagreb Friday, September 3rd , 1926 It wasn't easy but the Karlsruhe Crosscutters made it look that way. Starter Arsenio Potamianos shut out the Zagreb Mules despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Karlsruhe Crosscutters cruised to victory, 3-0. Potamianos allowed only 3 hits and rang up 2 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." Currently Potamianos has a record of 15-12 with 56 strikeouts and 57 walks in 239 innings and a 3.13 ERA. |
