Lewicki Tames Brest Saturday, September 4th , 1926 Today was Jakub Lewicki's turn in the rotation for the Palermo Frozen Ropes and he made the most of it, shutting out the Brest Silver Knights on 7 hits. The 25-year-old right-hander led the Frozen Ropes to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 9 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Brest manager said. "Lewicki certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds." To date this season, Lewicki is 18-6 with 23 starts and an ERA of 2.47 with 121 strikeouts in 203.2 innings. |
