Buturovic at His Best, Blanks Mogilev AA
Saturday, September 18th , 1926
Lazar Buturovic of the Brest AA River Bandits was right on target as he blanked the Mogilev AA Night Train, 4-0, yielding 5 hits and totaling 3 strikeouts and 4 walks.
"I had everything working today and I got some help from my defense, too," Buturovic said, speaking to BNN reporters after the game. "They saved my butt a few times."
This season, Buturovic has a 13-12 mark in 27 starts with a 3.77 ERA. He has given up 215 hits in 217.1 innings, struck out 150 and issued 61 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .261 batting average against him.

Danes Blank Moscow AA, Leptio Winner
Friday, September 17th , 1926
Giambattista Leptio was dynamite at Stockholm AA Fields, blowing away the Moscow AA Peacocks in a shutout victory. The Stockholm AA Danes starter had everything working as he held the Peacocks to 7 hits in the 1-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Moscow AA skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Leptio finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks.
In 22 starts this season, Leptio has registered a 12-9 record and a 3.74 ERA.
